Candida auris & Biofilm: Proactive Measures for Mitigating Fungal MDROs

This FREE Master Class is brought to you by TIPS

Topic:  Candida auris & Biofilm: Proactive Measures for Mitigating Fungal MDROs

This educational webinar covers the growing threat of Candida auris (C. auris), an antimicrobial-resistant fungus that is hard to identify and even more difficult to control as it frequently thrives in biofilm colonies throughout all patient care areas in hospitals and long-term care facilities. C. auris case counts increased dramatically during the pandemic, killing two thirds of patients infected.

Subject matter experts provide evidence-based guidance on proactive strategies for reducing risks of C. auris infections including proactive testing to identify fungal colonies. They will address the primary transmission sources, such as contaminated surfaces, sinks, shared medical equipment, and other environmental touch points, and discuss proactive effective cleaning and disinfection methods to mitigate C. auris before outbreaks occur.
